Why salted sand
Instant mechanical grip
Salted sand, often called pickled sand, grips the moment it lands on hard-packed ice. It carries just enough salt to stay free-flowing in the spreader, so it is one of the most practical ways to manage ice on lots, laneways and steep driveways.
Sanding or anti-icing?
Sand is best for packed snow, gravel roads, steep inclines and deep freezes. Busy storefronts that want less spring sweep-up and nothing tracked indoors can add liquid anti-icing before the storm.
